Visual identity and assets for Fraulein’s, an Austin-based BBQ joint specializing in Texas Hot Guts.
Hot Guts are a regional specialty local to central Texas. By the 1880’s central Texas had a large German immigrant population, who combined their Old World sausage skills with the newly widespread cultivation of cattle to create a unique barbecue tradition: coarsely ground, all-beef sausage seasoned simply with salt, black pepper, and cayenne, stuffed in a natural hog casing (hence the “Guts”), and smoked.
Of course, the German settlers also brought with them their passion for brewing beer, and, well, the rest is history. Prost, Y’all!
